Racks and containment
IT and network racks are an essential part of a data center, but it's important to remember that a lot of care is needed when installing and planning these racks. The IT rack installations from High Knowledge are characterized by intelligent planning and high-quality materials. We precisely determine the needs of our customers and implement them.

Tailored to Your Needs
We select IT and network racks according to footprint, load capacity, cabling, power density and maintenance access. Rack systems and containment are planned together with cooling. Separating cold and hot air can improve airflow and reduce cooling demand; the actual effect depends on utilisation, temperatures and controls.
For existing data centres, we assess airflow and thermal loads before recommending changes. Specific requirements for dust, moisture or access protection inform the selection of suitable components.
Racks and containment: coordinating IT, power and cooling
Dimensions and load capacity
Rack units, usable depth, load capacity and mounting positions must suit servers, storage and networking. Heavy equipment also requires suitable transport routes and floors. Front and rear access must accommodate operation and servicing.
Hot- or cold-aisle containment
Containment separates warm exhaust air from cool supply air. The arrangement depends on cooling and building design. Blanking panels and sealed cable openings reduce unwanted airflow paths, with performance dependent on actual rack occupancy.
Power, cabling and sensors
PDUs, cable management and sensors should preserve airflow and service access. A/B supplies and clear labels support operations. Liquid cooling introduces additional piping space and access requirements.
Safety and expansion
Access control, fire protection and escape routes must be coordinated with containment doors and roofs. Different rack heights and expansion phases are considered early. Integrated testing verifies the fit between IT installation and cooling.
